Non-Covid-19 Statement

Since 1 July 2020, travel policy has been relaxed for many countries within Europe. Some countries outside Europe also open their borders to international travellers. Every country sets their own conditions for the entry of travellers with a foreign passport. In addition, it is increasingly becoming compulsory to submit a Non-Covid-19 statement. What is a Non-Covid-19 statement exactly? You can read it here.

What is a Non-Covid-19 statement?

You will receive a Non-Covid-19 statement when the result of your PCR test is negative. At PCRtest.nl, the costs for this statement are included in the price that you pay. A Non-Covid-19 statement shows that you have been tested on Date X and Time X for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. This virus causes the Covid-19 disease. If the result of your test is negative, it means that the virus was not present in your body at the moment of testing. The Non-Covid-19 statement is proof of a negative result and is in many countries mandatory for international travellers.

What does the statement look like?

You will receive the Non-Covid-19 statement after taking the RT-PCR test, on the day before you depart before 11.59 p.m. The test shows whether you carry the SARS-CoV-2 virus at the moment of testing. This virus is a variation of the corona virus. You will only be tested for this variant. You will receive the proof of a negative test result in English per email.

The COVID-19 Medical Certificate complies with the requirements of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports in the Netherlands and is an official document. The certificate states your name and birth details. This document also states whether your test result is positive or negative. The document is concluded with a signature of a medically certified physician, as well as the data from the laboratory that assessed your test material.

It is important that you enter your personal details on the application form as stated on your passport. If you are flying to a foreign destination where a Covid-19 statement is required, the airport staff may ask you to show this document together with your passport. You can do this digitally on your phone or via a hard copy. Pcrtest.nl cannot be held liable for entering personal details incorrectly on the application form.

Serological test (antibody test)

In some countries a serological test, or so-called antibody test, is also mandatory. After taking this test, you will receive the result per email the day before departure, just as with the PCR test. This is proof that states whether antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus were found in your blood at the moment of testing. If these antibodies are present in your blood, it could mean that you have had Covid-19 in the past. The statement that you will receive, corresponds to the certificate you will receive after taking the PCR test. However, it is indicated that it is an antibody test (blood test).
